Becks warns Chelsea to beware of Fergie Mk II as ex-England captain begs for another blast of the Ancelotti 'hair-dryer' at AC

The Premier League should brace itself for the arrival of the second 'hair-dryer' manager, says David Beckham.

Beckham's present manager at AC Milan, Carlo Ancelotti, is set to be confirmed as Chelsea's new manager after the FA Cup final and the ex-England captain has warned the Blues they will be getting Fergie Mk II.

The former Manchester United winger, who witnessed Sir Alex Ferguson's temper first-hand at Old Trafford, said: 'He [Ancelotti] is a low-key, private type of person. But there is another side to him.

'While I have never had the "hair-dryer" type treatment, I have seen it from him.'

A potential stumbling block over Ancelotti's appointment at Stamford Bridge appears to have emerged today with reports that Chelsea are reluctant to recruit assistant coaches Mauro Tassotti and Filippo Galli alongside the Italian.

That, however, is minor detail and provides evidence of just how far advanced Ancelotti's proposed move to London is.

Beckham went on to plead with the 49-year-old coach to remain in Milan.

The 34-year-old midfielder added: 'Carlo Ancelotti's man-management skills are absolutely exceptional and he is a brilliant coach. To have played under a manager of his quality is a real privilege.

'He is one of the greats of the game. I have been lucky in my career to play under a few of the best in the business and he certainly comes into that category.

'I just wish I had been able to play for him for many more years - it's been a lot of fun.

That's not just me saying that, that's not just my opinion. Every one of the Milan players loves him, adores him and doesn't want him to go. They are pleading with him to stay.

'I know wherever he goes, and whatever he does, he will always have my admiration and respect.'

EXCLUSIVE: Ronaldo set to stick with United as Real ramp up quest to sign Ribery

Manchester United's hopes of hanging on to Cristiano Ronaldo have soared after it emerged that Franck Ribery expects to fill the wide vacancy at Real Madrid.

The newly-crowned champions have been bracing themselves for the worst after repeated claims from Florentino Perez that he would mark his likely triumph in the forthcoming presidential elections by parading Ronaldo as his prize capture in a world-record £90million deal.

But sources close to the Bernabeu have revealed that Ribery is now the prime target to provide extra flair on the flanks on a transfer hit-list that is topped by AC Milan's Kaka and also contains Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso.

As a further indication that Ribery is bound for the Bernabeu, Sportsmail can reveal that the France midfielder has increasingly alienated his Bayern Munich team-mates in recent weeks by constantly filling the dressing room with talk of his proposed move to Real.

Wanted: Franck Ribery

Bayern bosses have always insisted Ribery is not for sale but are now ready to discuss a fee with Real after fearing the 26-year old £20million signing from Marseille is posing a growing threat to morale at the Allianz Arena.

'He is always talking about Real Madrid, and there is a feeling now that it may be better for all concerned if he went,' said a Bayern insider.

One of Ribery's advisers also acts for Zinedine Zidane, who will have a prominent role at the Bernabeu under Perez, and it is believed talks are already underway over concluding a deal that would keep Ronaldo from Real's clutches for at least another 12 months.

The United star came close to moving to Spain last summer but was eventually persuaded to extend his stint at Old Trafford.

Real have also targeted Wigan winger Antonio Valencia, who is on United's radar this summer.
